Colonel Cornelia McMurdo, Senior officer in the Time Patrol
Female Human, CE Fighter 9th Level
Colonel Cornelia McMurdo has sworn vengeance upon Professor Jones, not only because she stole the one person that she truly loved away from her, but also because in so doing she destroyed the warrior’s left arm. In truth, what happened was that Jones successfully thwarted McMurdo’s attempt to kidnap Jonathon – but the Colonel remembers it differently. McMurdo has used her position of seniority in the Patrol to have Jones named as an outcast, and to obtain the equipment for the current sortie.
She is around forty years old, of medium build, although muscular. She has short grey hair and hazel eyes. Her left arm is mechanical, and of immense strength, and has been fused with her shoulder by the Patrol surgeons. It is a weapon in its own right which she controls by the power of her mind.
She normally wears the deep blue uniform of the Patrol, with a silver cloak pinned to her left shoulder by a star-like broach. However, for this mission she is in combat gear (see below) and this uniform is in her backpack.

McMurdo wears a leather and metal combat uniform, and carries the following:
She uses a stun baton, as a longsword, successful hit causes electric stun, ST vs Con at DC 17 or be rendered unconscious for 5 mins, 1D4 dam.
She also carries a dart gun, containing needles tainted with a narcotic sleep potion
One of the gizmos on her belt is a Teleport device – she can operate it to return to TimeShip, along with up to two companions.
Also on her belt are three Time mines. These devices, if thrown, will detonate into a sphere of temporal instability, of 10' radius. Anyone caught in the radius (Dexterity saving throw, DC14) will disappear, and be thrown 2D6 minutes into the future. To anyone watching, they will simply disappear.
As with the Major and the Sergeant, she has a radio – as an earring of communications.
Cornelia, as a last resort, has a bottle containing a miniaturised, stasis-frozen Mind Flayer. She is likely to break the bottle if she needs to cover a getaway or create a dangerous surprise. This will release the creature, which will be angry, and grow to normal size. It will be confused for 2 rounds, after which it will attack with aggression.
Mind Flayer Medium aberration, lawful evil. See 5e MM p.222
